The 2017/18 South Australian Coach of the Year for Coaching Excellence for a Club was awarded to High Performance Tennis Director and Head Coach Domenic Marafiote.
The Tennis SA awards night was held on Thursday April 5th at the Hilton Adelaide in front of 265 attendees. This event showcases and celebrates all the outstanding achievements of South Australia’s players, coaches, clubs, communities, volunteers and officials over the past 12 months.
High Performance Tennis athlete David Abfalter also won the Don Turnbull Memorial Trophy for the best South Australian 18/u male tennis player.

“It was very unexpected, as there are some amazing coaches in this category who are all so dedicated and passionate about growing the sport. I’m also extremely happy for David on his award. His dedication and committment to achieving his goals through the long-term development plan we set out 2 years ago is truly admirable. ”
